Rachel Lindsay May Host The Bachelor’s After the Final Rose

Bachelor Nation is asking Rachel Lindsay to add another role to her résumé and she might be interested. February 22nd Us weekly Magazine revealed that Lindsay was allegedly approached by The bachelor Production to discuss how to stand in for hosting the season’s After the Rose special.

“ABC and Warner Bros. have been talking to Rachel about the opportunity to host the ‘After the Final Rose’ special, and they want her to take on the role,” a source said Us weekly. “She’s still weighing the options and is pushing that ‘After the Final Rose’ bring a bigger talk about the race as a whole into the franchise. A final decision has not yet been made.”

Though nothing announced, Lindsay was a popular choice for the new host after Chris Harrison announced he was temporarily stepping down from his hosting duties. The franchise’s first black lead became a specialty correspondent for extra;; to host MTV’s Ghosted: Love Is Missing and ESPNs First door, a radio show called Football frenzy;; and put together the podcast Bachelor happy hour with the former Bachelorette Becca Kufrin – so she has the skills to create the appearance. But if there’s one thing Lindsay doesn’t have to do, she’s the figurehead for the franchise after doing another snafu. Lindsay has advised the Bachelor franchise time and again to look at itself closely since taking on the Bachelorette title, and even pointed out how bad her finale went compared to that of her predecessor – a predecessor whose fiancé appears to have all sorts of preferences has bigoted posts online!

I recommend Lindsay that she wanted to help the franchise that led her to her husband Bryan, but she more than deserves a break. It does not have to serve as a “reminder” that the Bachelor was previously “diverse”; More than their topic of conversation, she would probably be better off using this as a cue to find her peace outside of the franchise.
